Elon Musk announced the restoration of blocked Twitter accounts

“People have spoken out, the amnesty will start next week,” Elon Musk tweeted on Thursday, which is Thanksgiving Day in the US. As such, the new Twitter boss has announced that next week he will reinstate suspended accounts on the platform as long as they haven’t broken the law, thus returning to encouraging remarks during his takeover.

When asked Wednesday in the form of a survey on his account whether Twitter should offer a “general amnesty to suspended accounts, provided they didn’t break the law or send outrageous spam,” 72.4% of the roughly 3.16 million people said “Yes”.
