Elon Musk denies harassment allegations

Elon Musk yesterday denied on Twitter allegations that were deemed “completely false” leaked to Business Insider that a businessman would have paid $250,000 four years ago to settle a harassment complaint against a flight attendant. “Attacking me should be viewed through a political prism – that’s their standard (despicable) course of action – but nothing will stop me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech,” he said, reassuring Musk on Twitter. “Finally we can use Elongate as a scandalous name. It’s kind of perfect,” joked the billionaire, who has previously spoken out against the Democratic Party and warned that he expects to be the target of an attack. “It was clear that their only goal was a blockbuster prize to stop the acquisition of Twitter. The story was written before they even spoke to me,” Musk said again.

“Political attacks on me will escalate dramatically in the coming months,” Musk tweeted on Wednesday.

Musk also wanted to make sure, in a completely different register, that he wasn’t abandoning Tesla in favor of acquiring Twitter. “To be clear, I actually spend less than 5% of my time acquiring Twitter. This is not rocket science! Yesterday was Giga Texas, today is Starbase. Tesla in my head 24/7.”
