Elon Musk showed the door to a Quebec millionaire

Elon Musk has dismissed Twitter’s nine-member board of directors, including Quebecer Patrick Pichette, who until recently served as chairman of the board.

The purchase of Twitter by billionaire financial tycoon and investor Elon Musk was completed on Thursday evening. In unveiling his Twitter ownership plans for the first time, Musk said he would have to take the company private in order to make the changes he wanted.

One of the victims of Musk’s new vision was none other than Quebecer Patrick Pichette, who was Twitter’s chairman of the board from 2020 to 2021. He was also, among other things, the chief financial officer of Google from 2008 to 2015. during this period, he was actively involved in the Google growth program and supported the creation of the Alphabet structure.

According to The New York Times, Musk will appoint a new board of directors in the coming weeks.
