Elon Musk Takeover of Twitter: Donald Trump Doesn’t Believe It

In a press release earlier this week, Twitter said it had reached an agreement with Elon Musk to buy the social network for $54.20 per share. This is about 44 billion dollars. Yesterday, Friday, May 13, the owner of Tesla indicated in a tweet that the agreement reached with Twitter was suspended until he confirmed that the fake accounts represent less than 5% of users. Donald Trump, a former US president who received a promise from Elon Musk to restore his account, commented on the billionaire’s decision to suspend the purchase agreement. Former White House tenant believes Tesla boss won’t buy Twitter at “such a ridiculous price.”

“This business is largely based on bots or spam accounts”

“There is no way Elon Musk can buy Twitter at such a ridiculous price, especially since it is a business largely based on BOTs or spam accounts,” the Republican billionaire wrote on his social network Truth Social. He believes that if we get rid of Twitter spam, there won’t be much left of it. “By the time you get rid of him, if it’s even possible to do that, what will you have?” Not much,” wrote the former US president. Indeed, Elon Musk plans to have his team work with a random sample of 100 Twitter followers to make sure the fake accounts represent less than 5% of users.

“Truth Social is MUCH better than Twitter and just explodes”

Anyway, Donald Trump is doing very well on his Truth Social and has no intention of joining Twitter even if his account is reinstated. However, these statements were made long before Elon Musk announced that his account would be reinstated after the Twitter purchase. Donald Trump remains confident that “Truth Social is MUCH better than Twitter and just explodes” with “incredible engagement.”
