EVO 2022: no, Mortal Kombat 12 will not be shown there

While many announcements seem to be planned by SNK, Capcom, or Arc System Works, NetherRealm Studios is assuaging its fans’ expectations.

While PlayStation is covering EVO 2022, which runs from August 5 to 7, Ed Boon, creative director at NetherRealm Studios and head of Mortal Kombat, has calmed fans’ expectations.

If Warner Bros Games Studios is one of the publishers that PlayStation refers to when announcing its EVO 2022 special live stream, it looks like the announcements are about MultiVersus and not Mortal Kombat as our colleagues at IGN called it: “The developers behind Street Fighter , Mortal Kombat, Tekken and Guilty Gear are expected to make announcements at Evo 2022.

Ed Boon himself came to clear things up, assuring that the Mortal Kombat franchise had nothing to announce just yet and that it was an opportunity to take advantage of other fighting games.
