The Xbox conference was an opportunity to hear from many games. With an Xbox Game Pass ubiquitous in Microsoft’s strategy, it goes without saying that gamers will have plenty to do in the coming months. However, if we were treated to a few surprises, some of the big cartridges expected by the community were missing.
Towards a release in 2023
Fable, Perfect Dark, and Avowed were unveiled by Xbox last year and Hellblade 2 a year earlier. And yet, we had no news of its big games at Microsoft’s big event this year. The reason is simple, these titles would be plain and simple planned for 2023, at best.
It is through Venturebeat that we learn indeed that these titles will not arrive immediately. Among them, we can also evoke Everwild, the game of Rare which would have been rebooted recently. It will therefore not arrive next year and a release beyond 2023 is not to be ruled out.
Contraband, the new game developed in collaboration with Avalanche Studios, is also scheduled for 2023 alongside upcoming projects from The Coalition and Compulsion Games.
In the meantime, this year we will be able to enjoy games like The Ascent, Flight Simulator, Psychonauts 2, Forza Horizon 5 and of course Halo Infinite in addition to third party titles which will also arrive in Xbox Game Pass on the day of their release. Next year, it is the release of Starfield that should be talked about at the end of the year since the game is scheduled for November 11, 2022.
