In a press release, Koch Media and GIANTS Software announced the presence of a cross-play feature for the Farming Simulator 22 farm management game.
Thus, players will be able to cultivate together regardless of their playing platform, but also create their own style using the new character editor.
A common farming among PC and console gamers
With this announcement, the development team is breaking down the multiplayer barriers. Thanks to the cross-play functionality, virtual farmers will be able to play Farming Simulator 22 together.
“The successful addition of cross-play marks a real advancement for the multiplayer experience in the Farming Simulator franchise,” said Boris Stefan, Publishing Manager at GIANTS Software. “With the series growing in popularity around the world, as well as an ever-growing fan base on PC and consoles, we can now connect gamers with each other, without any restrictions.”
Rubber boots and mustaches – more unique characters in Farming Simulator 22
Players will be able to take advantage of new character customization options: new models, hairstyles, clothes and accessories. Real brands such as Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere and more from the agricultural industry will be present. German original equipment manufacturers ELTEN and Engelbert Strauss are also represented through a variety of safety clothing.
“Since Farming Simulator is enjoyed by countless fans in multiplayer mode, we are delighted to provide many possibilities for customizing their characters,” added character artist Roman Pelypenko.
Farming Simulator 22 will be available on November 22, 2021 on Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
GIANTS Software is planning a pre-order giveaway in the form of the CLAAS XERION SADDLE TRAC package, which will include the CLAAS XERION 4200 SADDLE TRAC, as well as four KAWECO machines. Also, depending on the region, the standard version jacket will feature Massey Ferguson MF 8S, Fendt 900 Vario, Case IH AFS Connect Magnum or Zetor Crystal.
A collector’s edition will also be available for PC only in limited quantities and will include a flashing light. Players driving heavy equipment will be able to take advantage of this orange light, which will work simultaneously with their vehicle’s rotating beacon in the game. The Collector’s Edition will also feature two posters, 24 stickers, and new mod tutorials.
