EA Sports has raised the curtain on FIFA 22 with a vague trailer as you might expect – but the bottom line is that this year’s episode is powered by “HyperMotion Technology”. Supposedly, this new technology allows EA Sports to create more realistic gameplay through realistic animations and interactions with players. The developer is really trying to make a big deal out of this, so it will be interesting to see if the actual gameplay shows a noticeable difference in quality.
Speaking of which, FIFA 22 will be on EA Play Live later this month on July 22, and gameplay footage has been promised.
FIFA 22 itself was released on October 1 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and once again Kylian Mbappé is featured on the cover. Other “FIFA Ambassador” players include Heung-Min Son, Phil Foden, David Alaba, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Christian Pulisic. In other words, these are the players you will see in and around the game’s menus and marketing.
