Scarlet Nexus, the new action-RPG from Bandai, was gradually revealed with videos that presented its story and its gameplay as well as offering a demo. First tests of Scarlet Nexus

TheGamer – 3.5 / 5

If you are looking for an action game inspired by an anime, in the same vein as Akira or Sword Art Online, Scarlet Nexus is definitely worth a visit. However, there are a few caveats. The combat is great but not without its flaws, while the story told and the characters you meet don’t have enough depth to resonate emotionally. The potential for something brilliant is here, but much like Code Vein before it, it’s a game that seems determined to stop itself from achieving something really special.

Attack of the Fanboy – 4/5

Overall, Scarlet Nexus is a simple, yet great and enjoyable experience for all fans of the genre. You hunt monsters, make yourself and your allies stronger, harvest resources to craft new cosmetics and gear, constantly unlock new features inside and outside of combat, all while you watch. an interesting story materialize before your eyes. This is truly a modernized, old-fashioned adventure that will satisfy everyone, even with the few drawbacks it does and its rather slow start.

Destructoid – 8/10

Scarlet Nexus is, in the end, a beautiful heartwarming action game. This is Saturday morning anime in game form, and while it will have a hard time capturing your attention from a story standpoint, it’s also a good way to waste 30 hours in a game system. fun fight. It’s not about narrative power, but if you need a way to hit monsters with the strength of your brain, this will serve that need just fine.

TheSixthAxis – 8/10

Whether it’s its gripping story, the design of its enemies or its battles, Scarlet Nexus inspires me with a certain amount of admiration. While Bandai Namco’s games often have a niche appeal, I have no hesitation in recommending Scarlet Nexus. I recommend that you skip a lot of the side stories, but everything else is the kind of animation that almost anyone will like.

Game Informer – 8.8 / 10

With incredibly satisfying fights, weird and wonderful creatures, and an impressive aesthetic, Scarlet Nexus is definitely worth it. The action starts out simple and fun, but gets more and more complex and satisfying as the game ends, with massive combo chains, calls, and special abilities.
