When you need to come up with new microtransactions around Halloween, who do you call? SOS Fantmes! Because of its theme, its costumes, its gadgets and even its sweets, Ghostbusters is a license often associated with the pagan party. Free-to-Play game managers who make their money with microtransactions are clearly aware of this.

After a brief teasing quickly discovered by the ghostbusters fans, Fortnite recently revealed its partnership with the license imagined by Dan Aykroyd. As part of its festivities “Fortnitemares, “Fortnite players have the opportunity to purchase items shot from or inspired by Ghostbusters. On the menu are:
- All Ghostbusters Patrol skins (for female characters): 2,000 V-Bucks
- All Ghostbusters Crew skins (for male characters): 2,000 V-Bucks
- Individual Skins: 400 V-Bucks per costume
- Ghost Trap: 400 V-Bucks
- Proton Pack: 400 V-Bucks
- Ecto-Glider: 1,200 V-Bucks
- Proton Pickaxe: 800 V-Bucks
Note that Fortnite players who are fans of Ghostbusters have an interest in acting quickly, these items are not always available to you.
As noted above, this partnership between Fortnite and the license is part of the temporary in-game event “Fortnitemares.” During the latter, eliminated players can return to the game as ghosts in order to haunt (and eliminate) players still competing.
As a reminder, items and events related to Ghostbusters are also present in Rocket League at the moment.
