This week, Gigabyte announced its decision to bring the Instant 6GHz technology developed for the Intel Core i913900K and Core i713700K processors to the Z690 platform. Allowing owners of the latest Z690 motherboards to upgrade by simply updating their motherboard to the latest BIOS.
Users can then optimize their Intel Core i913900K and Core i713700K processors up to 6 GHz to improve singlecore performance by up to 3%, explains Gigabyte. By updating the BIOS, users can stay with the existing Z690 platform while also enjoying the performance upgrades of the new processor. Gigabyte Instant 6GHz technology was previously exclusive to the Z790 platform.
