To help you wait for the release day of this second journey into the world of Scandinavian legends, we invite you to discover the new God of War Ragnarok gameplay.

Release date (first published) November 9, 2022 Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) God of War series Platform PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Developer Santa Monica Studio Genre Action-Adventure

God of War Ragnarok: New Gameplay Reveals the Kingdom of Svartalfheim

What can we see in the new God of War Ragnarok gameplay footage? These few and a half minutes of gameplay were published by our colleagues from GameInformer. These fresh scenes put players in Svartalfheim, a potential PS5 destroyer. Namely, Svartalfheim is one of the kingdoms that remained closed in the first God of War of 2018. Dwarves rule there, and therefore the magic of their ingenuity is present in every corner of Svartalfheim.

As confirmed by developer Santa Monica Studios, all 9 worlds will be available this time around in God of War Ragnarok. Unlike New Realms, God of War Ragnarok’s gameplay isn’t supposed to surprise regulars. Kratos and Atreus sail in their shells across the lakes of Svartalfheim, armed with a Leviathan axe, and the son of the family is certainly learning life lessons.

God of War Ragnarok: Sony is preparing to release a blockbuster for PS5

When will we see more God of War Ragnarok gameplay? Sony is currently doubling down on marketing for God of War Ragnarok. This week we again saw the new video God of War with Rick and Morty. Beyond these wild excursions into the comic book universe, it seems very real that gamers will finally be able to see more PS5 games in the coming weeks.

Fans speculate, for example, that God of War Ragnarok, like Horizon Forbidden West in the spring, will receive its own State of Play from Sony. However, Sony has yet to officially announce such streaming. But there are still a few weeks left before the release of God of War Ragnarok in November.
