Google announces Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro officialized

Rumors had been going around for some time about Google’s upcoming upcoming phones. The Californian company finally made the announcement yesterday. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro do exist and will arrive later this year. If the release date is not more precise, we can bet that it will be between September and November. Our estimate is an opening of pre-orders at the start of the school year for shipments starting at the end of October, beginning of November. It might be a rush with the iPhone 13 which should be released at the same time.

Either way, the Google Pixel 6 introduces a new design with a camera bump at the back which is a bit odd. But the biggest change is the new user interface called Material You announced last May during Google I / O. For Pixel users, it is initially a question of being able to modify the design of certain applications and adapt the interface to their emotions. We can therefore modify the size of certain elements but also the color and adapt this design to other applications. We will be the co-creators of our universe.

But that’s not all. The new smartphones incorporate Google’s Tensor chip for the first time. This is about a SoC System on a Chip or, in French, an all-in-one processor like Apple’s M1. Central processor, graphics processor and memory integrated in a single chip. Convenient to save space for other components.

The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have yet to reveal everything and it will take a little while before we get more info. But we can be sure that they will be excellent gaming platforms!
