Google announced the latest quarterly feature update for Pixel smartphones, featuring a new recording experience that makes audio sharing easier, a way to use the Pixel camera underwater, new wallpapers and updates to Smart Compose.
The Recorder application allows you to record, transcribe (in English) and search for audio files. The latest update makes it easier to share links to these files. A new website, http://recorder.google.com/, has also been created, where users can listen to recordings, view transcripts and search for files.
When a user changes their transcription, the audio also changes automatically, allowing them to save needed parts and cut unnecessary pieces. It is also now possible to save recordings to your Google account and access files from any device.
Kraken Sports has launched a new case, the Universal Smart Phone Housing, which allows users to capture images underwater, especially during dives. The case costs $ 325.
Pixels with a compatible case can use the dive case connector for the Google Camera. For example, it allows you to use certain functions, such as night vision and underwater portraiture.
To be able to use this function, you must be equipped with a Pixel 2 (or newer) and have Android R (update 8.1 of November 2020), the Diving case connector application for Google Camera, and a KRH04 or KRH03 universal box from Kraken Sports.
Wallpapers, Smart Compose and Sunset
The update also features a whole bunch of new wallpapers from different artists around the world, celebrating several social and cultural events, such as International Women’s Day on March 8.
The Smart Compose feature, which allows you to complete sentences as the user types them, will now be available for certain messaging apps on Pixel.
Finally, the Bedtime screen has been updated in the Alarm app, when the phone is used with a Pixel Stand. This feature is available on Google smartphones with wireless charging capability, including the Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, and Pixel 5.
