Tech giant Google Cloud will soon release a new Web3 cloud technology. These are hub motors. Ethereum projects were the first to take advantage of this.
Blockchain Node Engine: what are the advantages of this novelty for Web3?
Thanks to the Blockchain Node Engine, Google Cloud has found a solution for efficient node management. Breakdowns, for which a whole brigade was mobilized for maintenance and support of the latter, will finally disappear. However, if necessary, the company will ensure constant close monitoring of the nodes. And in the event of an incident, a restart remains possible.
Blockchain Node Engine has a wide range of options. Perhaps the most important is Cloud Armor, its main function is to block spam from DDos. These predators are potential network disruptors. And recently this year, Google Cloud managed to stop an impressive layer 7 DDoS attack in time.
Another interesting option of the Blockchain Node Engine is the VPC firewall, the authorization of which is fully configurable by the user. The latter will be able to choose the exact place to launch the nodes from a geographical point of view.
In fact, these containers will be used to execute codes for cryptocurrency platforms. This requires the mobilization of nodes, because without them, Ethereum, like other potential networks, will not function. Web3, being a huge network, requires the mobilization of a large number of nodes. They guarantee its development and protection.
What do Google Cloud CEOs say about the Web3 service?
The giant box of Google Cloud is present in different parts of the globe to this day. Its global reach also justified the choice to invest in a Web3 service. Richard Widmann, Head of Infrastructure Strategy, was interviewed by Decrypt during the Mainnet conference. “It’s about building a giant gateway that will connect the world of the technology industry with the Web3 infrastructure. Thus, cloud services will improve.”
On the other hand, James Tromans, director of Google Cloud Web3, will add some clarification. Public curiosity is centered on the usefulness and effectiveness of node mechanisms in troubleshooting network failures. Trohmans explains: “The sources of breakdowns are very diverse. It depends on the state of the underlying structure, if there are faults in it, the nodes are a great help in solving network problems. However, they must be of very good quality, like Google Cloud nodes. Why ? Because the better they are, the more redundancy and fewer failures there will be.”
Thus, this reasoning supports the advantage of increasing the number of nodes in the network. Knots can be used to increase the safety, efficiency and fluidity of the latter.
