Google, Facebook, Netflix … These tech companies where vaccination is compulsory for employees

As the return to the office is gradually being organized, some large American technology companies are announcing that vaccination will be compulsory for their employees. Faced with the expansion of the Delta variant, companies find themselves forced to slow down the return to face-to-face and to impose new measures ranging from wearing a mask to compulsory vaccination.

In the United States, employers are able to require proof of vaccination from employees, barring medical exceptions or religious objections, according to the United States Federal Agency for Enforcement of Laws Against Discrimination in the Workplace (EEOC) .

The vaccine is compulsory for employees

In France, tech companies are not affected

In France, the bill relating to the management of the health crisis – adopted on July 26 but which still has to be examined by the Constitutional Council – makes vaccination against Covid-19 compulsory for people working in the health and medical sectors. -social, except medical contraindication, from September 15, 2021.

As a result, large technology companies with offices in France cannot currently require their employees to present proof of vaccination to return in person.
