Gotham Knights explains why it won’t be available on Xbox ONE and details other features of the game – Persistent Worlds

Many of us love the universe of games related to Batman, Gotham and the Dark Knight that came to Xbox. Now we have Gotham Knights on the horizon, a game that promises to bring back the gaming feel of the early Batman games.

While we’re looking forward to this new release, it’s not all good news, especially for people who haven’t made it to the next generation yet. As you know, this game will only be released on Xbox X Series X|S, the Xbox ONE version has been cancelled, and now we have a little explanation.

Gotham Knights is too ambitious for the latest generation of consoles.

Looking at the words of Fleur Marty, Executive Producer, we can understand that they want to make a really cool game, which is why they made the decision to cancel the Xbox ONE and PS4 version. Nevertheless, they confirm that it was not an easy decision, but a necessary one.

With the scale and scope of Gotham Knights in mind, we wanted to prioritize our efforts to develop the game to a satisfactory level for current generation consoles. We understand that this may be frustrating for gamers who have not yet purchased a current generation console, and we believe that this decision was not an easy one to make. But in the end, we want to focus on making a game that we’re really proud of.

As you can see, their responses were clear that they want to make a great game, and the old generation consoles will be a big burden to develop this new game. While this isn’t the only thing they’ve cleared up, the development team has given us new insights into how the streets will run. in Gotham Knights, fights and so on. Without going into details, they also talked about the co-op that this new game will offer us.

Your friend will be able to invite you to play his story mode even if you are finishing it and he has just started, and of course this can happen vice versa. If your friend joins you and still has chapters left, as soon as they return to story mode they will pick up where they left off. In addition, when he gets to the point where he played with you in co-op, he will have the option to skip this chapter or go through it again.

As you can see, it looks like we have a few options to enjoy Gotham City again, all of this information comes from the interview, which you can see in its entirety on the MP1ST website. Are you excited to get your hands on the Gotham Knights? To be honest, I’m a big fan of this universe and really happy to play it. Stay tuned to Xbox Generation to find out all about it.
