Obsidian has confirmed the release date for the final version of its hostile gardening adventure Grounded as September 27 on Xbox and PC consoles.

After two years of early access, it’s finally time for Grounded to emerge from its cocoon and open up to the world: Obsidian’s bucolic FPS has been offered a 1.0 release date set for late September next year. Specifically, on September 27, 2022, Grounded will finally be available in version 1.0 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.

Grounded goes to green class at the start of the school year

This famous 1.0 version will logically include the 12 previous updates that Grounded has received since its Early Access launch in July 2020. So it’s a long wait for this FPS fern that has captured the attention of 5 million curious people – attention heightened by its Game Pass presence, both in the PC catalog and on consoles. Grounded follows the adventures of a group of American teenagers reduced to the size of insects by the work of a scientist with dubious intentions; like Sheri, I made babies smaller with ants, spiders, and centipedes, which were still a little more dangerous.

Its release in the final version will be an opportunity to finally complete the story – literally, early access did not reveal all the intricacies of its scenario. The latest trailer released by Obsidian also lets you discover new environments to explore, including a lab that doesn’t look suspicious at all, but it really doesn’t. What to expect in anticipation of its adaptation to the small screen, announced just a few days ago…
