Game news Halo.Bungie site will close and be deleted
While the Halo franchise is owned by Microsoft and is now in the hands of 343 Industries, the halo.bungie.net site will soon disappear.
The news has discreetly announced in the weekly article This week at Bungie and spotted by our colleagues from Xboxygen. From Halo Reach, the site only contained stats for multiplayer modes. Sadly, it’s time for the site to shut down, and it will happen on February 9 next.
Almost nine years ago, the stats and files for our old franchise, Halo, saw new updates stop on Bungie.net. Since then, all of these files, stats, and other data from Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Reach have been housed as a souvenir at halo.bungie.net. On February 9, the halo.bungie.net site will be deleted in its entirety. Feel free to back up your files and stats as much as you can if you want to keep something. Please keep in mind that our news articles, groups and forums were already imported into the current version of Bungie.net in 2013.
As a reminder, the next episode of Halo, Halo Infinite, is due out in the fall.
