Legacy of Hogwarts, an open world game set in the Harry Potter universe, will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox on May 5th. However, the Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account hasn’t provided any further details about the Switch version, which is currently slated for July 25th.

Hogwarts Legacy was released on February 10 and sold 12 million copies on the market in its first two weeks. And this despite the ambiguous statements of the creator of the series JK Rowling about transgenderism. The game’s developers have distanced themselves from the author, stating that she was not involved in the creation, but that her team was consulted to make sure the game still lived up to her original vision.
If Hogwarts Legacy sold very well on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, it has a very good headroom compared to classic consoles. With 117 million PS4s and 51 million Xbox Ones in circulation, it’s easy to see why publisher Warner Bros. Games is targeting these two platforms, although the game will graphically best on the latest generation of consoles.
