How a Server Failure Stopped Thousands of Tesla’s

A failure in Tesla’s servers prevented brand owners from opening and starting their cars for several hours.

When the tech giants falter, nothing works. When a global blackout hit the Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp networks in early October, Tesla experienced a similar situation this Friday, November 19. On Twitter, several users reported “500 errors” that prevented them from opening and starting their cars.

A giant failure corroborated by the site downdetector.com. The latter reported a sharp increase in reports referring to bugs in the application. In question: a connection problem with the smartphone application, used as a “key” by many brand owners.

Elon Musk s’excuse

Questioned on Twitter by a Korean user, Elon Musk reacted quickly. “I should be back online now,” he replied after several hours of investigation, pointing to a problem with network traffic. “Our apologies, we will take steps to ensure this does not happen again.”
