How to deactivate my Facebook account?
You can deactivate your Facebook account and then use it later. This means that the account will no longer show up online, but if you want to reactivate it in the future, you can enable it again.

You will then be shown a series of options, you will be asked if you want to still use Facebook Messenger, if you delete your account you will not be able to use the app.
You will also be asked if you would like to download your information or transfer a copy of your information before deleting your account. Once that’s done, click “Delete Account” and you’ll be prompted for a password.
Once that’s done, click Continue, Facebook will inform you that your account will be permanently deleted and that you have 30 days to change your mind before it’s gone forever. If you’re happy with this, select Remove account.
You now have a 30 day period during which you can cancel or reactivate your account, after that 30 day period your data will be permanently deleted from Facebook.
