How to manage notifications on your Android device?

Your applications keep interrupting you? Here’s how to manage your notifications and take back control of your phone!

Manage notifications one at a time

To access your most recent notifications, slide your finger down from the top of the screen.

Long press the notification you no longer want to receive. On Android 9 or higher, select “Stop notifications”. On Android 8 or less, move the button to the left.

Manage all notifications

Swipe down from the top of the screen, then go to settings. Then tap on “Apps & notifications”.

To manage notifications, select an application, then “Notifications”. To turn off all notifications, move the “Show notifications” button.

You can also turn off only certain types of notifications, such as news in Twitter. All you have to do is uncheck the “News” box.

Adjust the display of notifications

You can also set the display of notifications for all applications.

Under “Apps & notifications”, tap “Notifications”. This allows you to determine where notifications will appear: on the lock screen or on application icons.

Taking back control of your phone is not complicated!
