How to play Fortnite on Xbox Cloud Gaming? System requirements, installation guide, etc. – Tech Tribune France

Playing Fortnite with Xbox Cloud Gaming is one of the best workarounds for those who can’t enjoy playing on their mobile devices. Since there were several disagreements between Epic Games and Apple, this resulted in the latter banning the game from their devices. It has been added to the existing list of devices that have never had access to the game, but there is a handy workaround for that.

This is only possible thanks to the partnership agreement between Epic and Xbox that was signed earlier in 2022. It allows gamers to enjoy the popular game without depending on the native application. In addition, cloud gaming reduces reliance on device specs through the way they work.

However, setting up Fortnite for Xbox Cloud Gaming can be tricky for those unfamiliar with it. Beginners will most likely have difficulty with this process, since the installation of the application as such is not provided. They can easily play the game using the streaming service by following the steps given in the next section.

When you play Fortnite with Xbox Cloud Gaming, you bypass all the limitations of the original app.

In general, there may be a few limitations for the Fortnite app on mobile devices. This may be related to the operating system in question, or simply to the characteristics of the device. With Xbox Cloud Gaming, all these restrictions disappear.

First of all, your main task is to set up the game accordingly:

  • You will need a browser to run the game. Xbox Cloud Gaming usually streams the game and this requires a browser.
  • In addition, you will need an Xbox game account. After creation, check it. If you already have a verified account, just sign in.
  • Note that you won’t need an Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live membership to do this, so not having them won’t be a problem.
  • Go to the Xbox Cloud Gaming website, which will display a list of all the games available on the service.
  • Select Fortnite.
  • The next page will ask you to log in again and then download the game to your browser.
  • You will need to create a new Epic Games account or sign in to an existing account.
  • After completing the last step, you can now play the game just like a live app on any platform.

It should be noted that the ability to play Fortnite on Xbox Cloud Gaming is available on PC and the steps are the same as above. However, this option is usually reserved for mobile devices, which may not have access to the game app at all.
