How to put a pin in Google Maps

Google Maps has a number of useful features, one of which is the ability to insert a pin into Google Maps, which allows you to mark a location on the map.

This is a useful feature as you will be able to link to the location later and this can be done on Google Maps on various devices. You can mark the location you are in with a pin on Google Maps, or you can also mark a different location in the app by searching for that location.

How to put a pin on iPhone and Android phones?

To place a pin on Google Maps on your iPhone or Android phone, open the Google Maps app on your device and you will be shown your current location on a map.

Click on the map at the location you wish to mark and the pin will be reset. You then have a few options, you can get directions to that place, save it, bookmark or share it, or you can delete it by pressing the X in the search box at the top.

The location will then be displayed on Google Maps in your browser and a pin will be automatically added to the location you were looking for. You can now choose from a range of options, including saving the location, sending the location to your phone, sharing it with someone, or adding a label.
