On October 13, 2021, William Shatner went into space.

The iconic “Star Trek” actor and original Captain Kirk embarked on a suborbital journey with three crewmates on NS-18, the second spaceflight manned by Blue Origin’s New Shepard spacecraft.

During the launch, Shatner, who is 90 years old, set a new record for the oldest person in space. It launched with Audrey Powers, vice president of flight and mission operations at Blue Origin, and two paying passengers: Glen de Vries, vice president of life sciences and healthcare at French software company Dassault Systèmes; and Chris Boshuizen, co-founder of the Earth observation company Planet.
