Fans hoping to keep their basketball passion alive this summer will be delighted to know that Warner Bros. has just released the first trailer for the animated sequel to 1996’s Space Jam, Space Jam: A New Legacy, marking its 25th anniversary. and it looks like a dunk of fun.
Set to hit theaters and HBO MAX on July 16, this highly anticipated film will star Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, alongside Bugs Bunny and other Looney Tunes characters as they try to rescue James’ son who is sucked into the cyber world. called Warner 3000 “Server Verse”.

“When LeBron James and his little son Dom are trapped in the digital space by fraudulent AI, LeBron must bring them home safe and sound, leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the entire gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to defeat the digital AI champions at Court. : An updated roster of professional basketball stars you’ve never seen before.

Influenced by Nike’s clever “Jordan Hare” ad in the original film, Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan and Bugs teamed up with Tune Squad to defeat the Monstars, a pint-sized squad of aliens who stole the skills of numerous NBA stars. …
Space Jam: A New Legacy directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Spike Lee’s cousin) shows the dastardly Don Cheadle as the computer humanoid Al Ji Rhythm and includes episodes of Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Diana Taurasi, Chris Paul, Draymond. Green and Clay Thompson.
