In 2017, Insomniac Games, the studio responsible for releasing Spider-Man on PS4, stated that the game would never come to Xbox or PC because the game was exclusive to Sony. However, the developer burned his tongue this week by announcing that the Spider-Man series is coming to PC, including Spider-Man Remastered.
Sony acknowledged their mistake a little, stating that the port was unrelated to the lack of success of the Spider-Man franchise games on PS4 and PS5. The company claims that as of May 15, 2022, it has sold over 33 million copies worldwide. The game is indeed one of the biggest hits of the Japanese console developer.

What’s in the trailer for Spider-Man for PC and Xbox?
Looking at the images shown in the trailer, one can notice a great look. The updated version has customizable options and a ray tracing option, in addition to mouse and keyboard support of course. The PC title will include “the complete main story and its ongoing narrative in Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC” as well as three chapters of Peter Parker’s story, including additional missions and challenges.
After Sony acquired Nixxes, a popular studio known for porting games to PC, work was done on Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man games. The developer behind the PC and Xbox adaptation said he worked to “create the best possible PC experience that takes advantage of all the exciting experiences the PC platform has to offer.”
