Apple recently released the iOS 15.6.1 software update, this was an important update as it fixed some security issues in iOS.
When the software was released, Apple also stopped signing iOS 15.6 to make sure you couldn’t downgrade.
We can now find out what the battery life is like in iOS 15.6 software in the battery test video from iAppleBytes. The new software is being tested against the previous iOS 15.6 software.
As you can see from the video, battery tests are conducted on the original iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XR, iPhone SE2, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13.
As you can see from the graph at the end, the batteries of most phones lasted a little less than in the previous test with iOS 15.6. Therefore, this new software release does not increase battery life.
Apple is currently testing iOS 16, which is currently in beta testing before the official release, this software will be released in September. We hope that the new iOS 16 software update will improve the battery life of many iPhone models when it is released.
Apple is holding an iPhone 14 event on September 7, so iOS 16 should be released some time after that. iOS 15.6.1 software update is available for download, it is recommended to install the update.
