iPhone 14 Pro models feature faster 5G

The Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max feature the new Apple A16 Bionic processor, while the iPhone 14 models feature the same A15 Bionic processor as the iPhone 13.

It has now been revealed that these new iPhone Pro models are equipped with faster 5G than the iPhone 13 Pro models.

Speedmsart recently tested the iPhone Pro against the iPhone 14 Pro for 5G speeds on both Verizon Wireless and TMobile, which can be seen in the chart below.

On TMobile, the new iPhone Pro booted 38% faster than last year’s Pro model, while on Verizon the phone was 32% faster. That’s a big improvement, thanks to the new 5G modem in this year’s iPhone Pro models.

There have also been improvements to download speeds on both networks and improved latency with less latency on this year’s models.

As you can see from the chart above, we only collected data for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max and compared it to the data for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. The difference in speed is a much bigger jump than we expected. The average download speed of 255 Mbps over 5G is very impressive.
