iPhone 14 will ship with USB-C (video)

It has been rumored for a while that Apple will switch its iPhones to USB-C, this could finally happen with the iPhone 14.

Apple currently uses their Lightning port and cables on their iPhones, and on their latest iPads they use USB-C, which has a number of advantages over Lightning cables.

The video below from Max Tech looks at some possible evidence of why next year’s iPhone could finally be the first iPhone to get USB-C.

Apple certainly makes sense to use USB-C as a charging standard on its devices, including iPads and Macs that already have this technology, and of course the new iPhone 14.

Since the iPhone 14 is expected to have a new design, this will be the perfect time for Apple to move to USB-C.

Regulators in Europe are also putting pressure on all smartphone manufacturers to use USB-C as the universal standard for charging their smartphones.

The new iPhone 14 line is expected to launch later this year, probably sometime in September, and we expect a number of devices to appear in that line. We look forward to learning more about Apple’s new iPhone lineup, as soon as we receive any information, we’ll let you know.
