Kena: Spirit Bridge was one of the more notable announcements from Sony’s PlayStation 5 explosion event last year, and it’s only gotten better since then. We’ll all experience this in August, but it looks like Ember Lab is already busy afterwards. As a member of the Wiring interview that revealed Sony has over 25 exclusive PS5 games in production, co-founder Josh Grier talks about what they learned while producing Kena: Bridge of Spirits will apply to the upcoming one. developer’s project.
Josh Grier said: “Our groundwork was on the PS4. But watching the second game, focusing on exploiting the SSD and building mechanisms and tools around it, will be a lot of fun. I’m sure we haven’t taken full advantage. What it is so fast actually; we got a lot of benefit from it just by being better. But I think it can go even further. Given that the quote appears in an interview with Sony bigwigs like Jim Ryan, we think it’s very safe to assume that the future title will hit at least PS5. If you don’t have a related exclusivity, those load times should also be quite short thanks to the PS5’s SSD.
