Koenigsegg has unveiled its latest supercar, the Koenigsegg CC85, which will be produced in a limited edition of only 50 units and will be powered by a 1,382 hp 5.0liter V8 engine.
The car has a power of 1385 hp. when using E85 and 1186 hp when using regular gasoline, see below for more details.
Twenty years ago, the launch of the first production car Koenigsegg CC8S defined a new category of “megacars”. Today, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the CC8S, the Koenigsegg CC850 was unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering for media, customers and the industry.
The CC850 is a modern reimagining of the Koenigsegg CC8S. It is also a double tribute to Koenigsegg, commemorating 20 years of car manufacturing as well as the 50th anniversary of the company’s founder and namesake, Christian von Koenigsegg. As such, CC850 production will be limited to just 50 vehicles worldwide.
“The CC850 is a tribute to the most significant vehicle in the history of Koenigsegg,” said Christian von Koenigsegg. “CC8S put us on the map and made us successful – and celebrating 20 years of production, along with my 50th birthday, seemed like the right time to introduce the CC850 to appreciate our roots.”
