Lamborghini has released a new version of its Urus SUV, the Lamborghini Urus Performante, and this new SUV has received a number of improvements over the standard model.
The Lamborghini Urus Performante is 47 kg lighter than the standard model and has an increased output of 666 hp, the car accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds.
The Urus Performante sounds bold aerodynamics at first sight and from every angle: The Performante doesn’t just steer the road from the front. The clean, sharper, more prominent hood and bumper design immediately emphasizes the Performante’s supersport genetics while retaining the Urus’s innate elegance. The extensive use of composite materials in the Urus Performante makes it the car with the most carbon fiber parts in its segment.
“The very bold and distinctive design of the Urus Performante perfectly combines improved aerodynamics, including a front bumper air curtain, with significant visual differentiation, including a new lightweight carbon fiber engine hood and extensive use of carbon fiber, reminiscent of its “Performante” heritage. This benchmark Urus is designed to be a unique driverfocused super SUV,” says Mitya Borkert, Head of Design.
With deep cuts in the lines of the hood up to the new front bumper, the hood, including the air intake, is forged from lightweight carbon fiber in body color or partially visible carbon fiber as an option. The optional carbon fiber roof is reminiscent of Lamborghini supersport models such as the Huracán Performante and Super Trofeo.
