Disney has announced a slew of Marvel and Star Wars series destined for Disney + in the months and years to come. After WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki will be the third to be posted on the streaming (SVoD).

As the name suggests, the main protagonist of show is none other than the famous Norse God, half-brother of Thor. It will therefore be an opportunity to see this anti-hero par excellence play the leading roles.
For once, he will be in the spotlight and not in the shadow of Avengers. This is not to displease us and which, we hope, bodes well for a singular program. WandaVision was a first step aside, and it wouldn’t hurt Marvel to keep renewing itself.
While waiting for its launch, here is already a summary of the information to remember about it.
- Please note, this article contains spoilers on the Marvel universe. If you are not up to date in the various films of the Avengers saga (among others), we advise you to postpone its reading.
Loki, what is this about?
The aficionados of the MCU know, the hapless Loki died in Avengers: Infinity War. Fortunately, thanks to Endgame, the show may simply sidestep the issue and put the spotlight on the God of Discord.
In the final opus of the saga Avengers, he is resurrected and fled with the Tesseract, escaping the vigilance of the heroes supposed to keep his eye on him. Thanks to the artifact, he is now able to materialize all possible and imaginable objects thanks to his will alone.
The hero of the series is this version of Loki, the one who manages to extricate himself from the clutches of his jailers. Problem, his escape upset the course of time. Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson), head of the Time Variance Authority, will serve him and ask him to put things in order.
This is why Loki should time travel in his series, to avoid the succession of disasters he could cause and fix things while he still can.
A new eventful start therefore seems to await the character, even if he will probably not be completely free of his movements. The “TVA” watches over the grain and will not let it scatter in the twists and turns of history.
We can also count on Loki not to let himself be manipulated and take lessons from his “employers”. In short, the series promises to be quite explosive.
What is the release date of the series?
The first episode of Loki will be online on June 11, 2021 on Disney +. A new chapter in the series will then be added each week. In total there are six and Loki is presented as a mini-series.
This probably means that you should not count on the production of a second season. As for WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Disney therefore seems to be betting on “one-shot“with the programs pulled from the MCU. For now anyway.
If you want to get a taste of show to wait, here is the last video preview uploaded by disney.
