Los Angeles: arena is getting a makeover

Opened in 1999, the arena, formerly the Staples Center, will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation this summer. About a renovation program at all levels of almost 100,000 m² that began in May last year and will continue until the fall and then for the next 2 years, before returning to competition with the Lakers and Los Angeles Kings (NHL).

The biggest novelty will be the creation – by removing the seating at the very top of the hall – of a covered/outdoor terrace built on the roof, offering fans a view of both the “city center” and the wooden floor. Future work can be seen in 3D below:
