Available for a few days now on PC and Steam Deck, Marvel’s Spider-Man seems to be suffering from a few consistent improvements it still deserves.

While the game is indeed playable, the Valve console version of the game has not been without compromises and is therefore in need of further improvement.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Enhanced Steam Deck

While many other games, like Control or Red Dead Redemption 2, run pretty well on the world’s cheapest laptop, Marvel’s Spider-Man, whose port was released just a few days ago, seems a bit harder to meet Steam Deck expectations. owners.

Indeed, even if the game is quite playable, in many respects everything remains quite easy. When activated on the lowest graphics settings, the frame rate fluctuates between 30 and 50 frames per second, and resolution issues affect the physical objects that Spider-Man interacts with. This way, most newspaper clippings and other framed photos remain completely blurred, without changing settings that can’t change anything.

Similarly, cutscenes and gameplay steps suffer from very pronounced aliasing and sometimes some pretty crazy facial animations. Generally speaking, when the Steam Deck overheats or the battery level is below 50%, you are in for the biggest problems… Hopefully PlayStation and Nixxes Software can adjust this build so that players can benefit from it in the best possible conditions. .

As such, Marvel’s Spider-Man has been available on PC since August 12th and is also playable on PS4 and PS5.
