Some time ago, a French publisher announced that they were working on a new video game adaptation of the famous hero Hergé. This time the project was entrusted to the Spaniards from Pendulo Studios.
For this new adaptation, Microids and Pendulo Studios decided to ask about the Pharaoh’s Cigars episode, which you probably all know if you’ve read all the adventures of Tintin in your youth, like you did.
In this way, this game largely follows the plot of the Cigars of the Pharaoh album through an investigative adventure game, a genre familiar to the Madrid team at Pendulo Studios (Runaway, Yesterday, Blacksad Under the Skin). You will lead Tintin on his journey through Egypt, India and Arabia, investigating a drug case. The developers, however, seem to have decided to go further by creating a third-person game that has more action than their previous titles. I let you judge for yourself in the video below.
Tintin Reporter Cigars of the Pharaoh is scheduled for release in 2023 on PS5, XSX/S, PS4/Pro, Xbox One/X, Switch and PC.
