Microsoft reportedly pushing to release Starfield this year as an Xbox exclusive

Space-time dilation

In development for a while and still so nebulous, Starfield from Bethesda Game Studios is clearly desired. While Phil Spencer has hinted that some games from the publisher – now a Microsoft subsidiary – will be exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem, industry insiders are certain that Bethesda’s space RPG will be an Xbox exclusive, hoped for this year.

The information comes from Rand al Thor 19, a content creator specialized and recognized in the Xbox sphere and which co-hosts The Xbox Two podcast, reports wccftech. In the last episode aired on April 24, the insider states that Microsoft would very much like Starfield to be released this year, prompting the publisher’s first studio to work harder:

Very reliable people have told me that Starfield is 100% Xbox Exclusive. I’ve even made bets on this, and I only bet if I know I’m willing to bet. So I’m really, really confident that Starfield will only release on Xbox when it does, and I’ve also been told that Microsoft is doing their best to release the game for. [les fêtes de fin d’année]. They really want Starfield to come out [cette période]. The game is pretty much done: it’s currently in the bug-fixing phase, much like Halo Infinite, and it would be a big boon to Game Pass and Xbox if Halo and Starfield could launch this fall.
