Multiplication of fires in Europe

After recurring heatwaves and severe drought, the European Union lost more than 660,000 hectares between January and mid-August. Unprecedented since the start of satellite data in 2006. Among the most affected countries are Spain, Romania, Portugal and France. Two large successive fires in the Gironde, in the southwest, are largely related to this.
