FREDERICTON – New Brunswick reported 100 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, 71 of which are in people who have not yet been fully vaccinated.
Among them, 66 were people who had not received any injection and five had received a single dose of a vaccine against the virus, Public Health said in a statement.
It says there are 929 active cases reported in the province with 56 people hospitalized.
Additionally, public health officials remind residents to celebrate Thanksgiving with only members of their household.
Authorities also advise against unnecessary travel in certain regions of the province, including Moncton and Edmundston.
The fourth wave of COVID-19 has hit New Brunswick much more strongly than the first three, although nearly 82% of eligible New Brunswick residents are fully vaccinated against the virus.
