New Porsche Cayenne resto mods showcased in UAE

Porsche has unveiled several new Porsche Cayenne restomods based on the original Cayenne.

The recently restored Cayenne SUVs have been created by Porsche Center Dubai and the Northern Emirates (Al Naboodah Automobiles) and Porsche Center Abu Dhabi (Ali & Sons). Cars are based on the first generation Cayenne.

The meticulously restored vehicles have already been tested by the media at a press event in the mountainous desert region of Hatta, near Dubai, and now the SUVs will be showcased at the second Icons of Porsche festival, which takes place on the weekend of November 2627 in the Dubai Design District. There, eight vehicles will be on display at Camp Cayenne along with a latest generation SUV that will be available to take guests on an exciting offroad journey with experienced drivers.

“We were commissioned to recreate the first generation Cayenne to highlight its offroad capabilities by retrofitting and modifying where necessary, as well as using some of the accessories that have recently become available for it from Porsche Classic,” says Darren Abel, division brand manager Porsche Center Abu Dhabi, Ali & Sons. “Together with Porsche Center Dubai, we purchased four E1s from 2007 to 2010 and I think both teams enjoyed modifying them and breathing new life into the E1.”
