Oculus Quest 2 will go up $100 soon – buy it before the price increase

The price of the Meta Quest 2, better known as the Oculus Quest 2, will go up $100 for all models starting August 1st, so if you want it, now is the perfect time to buy it.

Retail price (will open in a new tab) both the 128GB model and the 256GB model will rise by $100 each to ($399.99 and $499.99 respectively). This is pretty big news in the world of VR headsets as the Oculus Quest 2 is one of the best VR headsets on the market. The Oculus Quest 2 has always been an affordable option for people buying a VR headset. We reviewed it and we really like it, and its price doesn’t mean that users lose sight of the quality. Sure, its screen isn’t as crisp as some premium models, but its wireless design makes it easy to set up and use right out of the box. It is also powerful enough to provide users with the ultimate virtual reality experience.

Meta shared this information on its Twitter and stated that the price increase is intended to “continue investing in the development of the virtual reality industry in the long term.” We can’t be sure when there will be offers to bring headsets back to the price we’re used to, so now’s the last chance to save $100 substantially. (will open in a new tab) either 128 GB or 256 GB of the Meta Quest 2 model.

With the changes taking place on August 1st, this means you have less than a week before a sudden price spike, it also looks like the price increase is permanent, so it’s not likely to drop unless there’s a sell-off. To soften the blow, Meta also announced that a free Beat Saber download would be available with every purchase of a new headset through the end of the year. This offer is also valid from August 1st.

Despite the bad news, the Meta Quest 2 remains the best choice if you’re looking for a VR headset, especially if you want to make the most of the best free VR experience. Our recommendation is that if you want to buy it, the upcoming price increase should be the impetus to buy it.
