Chromebook users now have a new option to draw or write on their screen. The One by Wacom graphic pen tablet has just been certified ” Works with Chromebooks Which means it is fully compatible with Chrome OS devices. An evolution that is aimed at both digital artists, but also students and teachers, specifies Wacom. In addition, some Chromebooks, such as the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet and the new Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2, have screens that work with USI (Universal Stylus Initiative) styluses.
The One by Wacom pen tablet connects to the Chromebook via a USB-A port. The stylus has 2,048 pressure levels and does not use a battery. The One by Wacom is sold € 39.90 for the small format and € 59.90 for the medium format.
Last year, the Chromebook market experienced strong growth, boosted by containment measures linked to the coronavirus pandemic which favored teleworking. New models appeared at CES 2021 and Google regularly adds new features to its operating system.
In addition, Wacom is working with Google to expand Chromebook compatibility to other products in its range.
