Opinion: facial recognition technology is one of the biggest threats to our privacy

By themselves, the high error rates should have been reason enough to prohibit the use of such unreliable technology. But facial recognition programs are still used primarily due to greed and disregard for human rights. Some researchers ignore the real danger behind the problem and, instead of ruling out the use of this technology from the legal system, they suggest optimizing the photo settings to take into account darker skin tones and implementing “consent” as a prerequisite. for creating facial recognition data sets. .

Hacker Threats

By now we have all seen that in the face of the limitations imposed by law, consent can be applied.
