Orange Opens First Space for 5G Experiments and Discoveries in Côte d’Ivoire

Orange Côte d’Ivoire opens its Orange 5G Lab dedicated to companies, start-ups and digital professionals. This ceremony took place on Tuesday, September 20 at the Deux Plateaux Smart Store (Cocody, Abidjan) in the presence of Mr. Amadou Coulibaly, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Government Spokesperson, Ms. Christelle Heidemann, CEO of Orange. Group; Mr. Aliune Ndiaye, Chairman of Orange Africa and Middle East; Mr. Jérôme Enick, Managing Director of Orange in Africa and the Middle East, and Mr. Mamadou Bamba, Managing Director of Orange Côte d’Ivoire.

While the 5G network rollout has been announced for 2023 throughout Ivory Coast, Orange Côte d’Ivoire is looking forward by providing Ivorian companies with a new collaboration space, fully equipped and dedicated to its specific application. Orange 5G Lab Abidjan is a service and support offering for economic operators developed with experienced partners such as Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson and ZTE. The Orange 5G Lab device, free and customized, rotates around two axes:

Help economic players learn about new opportunities for using 5G and how it can positively impact their operations.
Support innovative companies with the help of our 5G experts who want to test the potential of 5G for their product or service.
This venue will provide space for showcasing 5G use cases from different sectors, conferences, training sessions, co-working spaces, collaborative innovation, and 5G practice sessions.
