HISTORICAL BACKGROUND 11:45 am UK: Regularly, like clockwork, Dealabs has released the next PS Plus lineup for August.

Dealabs has been releasing the right PlayStation Plus games every month this year ahead of Sony’s official announcement.

In terms of the games brought to us, John Linneman of Digital Foundry said of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 when it was released, “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is one of the best games of the year. and this is my favorite Activision release of the entire console generation. Really high praise!

Meanwhile, while Malindi did not give Yakuza: Like a Dragon a Eurogamer badge upon release, he did praise the game for “an amazing JRPG rework”.

Incidentally, we recently saw a slight uptick in Yakuza 8, with Like a Dragon’s Ichiban Kasuga sporting a new haircut for the upcoming release.

Last on the list (but no less important) is Little Nightmares, which has been awarded the “Recommended” badge by Eurogamer. Edwin called it “a masterpiece of meat and malice” that can be “quickly consumed but with a persistent aftertaste”.

We’ll update when Sony makes this list official.
