Every month, PlayStation-Plus subscribers get free access to new games. PS Plus Essential comes out this month with a pretty interesting lineup. These are the free games of this month.

A new subscription model has been in effect for PlayStation since June; now it has several levels, the cost of which varies. Sony has actually expanded PS Plus by adding two additional subscription tiers: Extra and Premium. And PS Plus is now called PS Plus Essentials and will remain exactly as it was.

Those who upgrade to PS Plus Extra will receive 400 PS4 and PS5 games “for free”. The Premium tier includes retro games from PS1, PS2 and even PS3. The full list of games for PS Plus Extra and Premium can be found here..

But in this article we’re talking about the classic free monthly PS Plus games that even basic users also have access to. We will cross predictions and leaks for the coming months and we will confirm each title as soon as possible. So let’s get to the important question: what are the free PlayStation Plus games this month and are they any good?

Essential PS Plus Games September 2022 | Predictions and Leaks

So far, we haven’t had any leaks of free PlayStation Plus games in September 2022, but we can make some educated predictions based on what we have so far. Here are our predictions:

  • Assassin’s Creed black flag: Just like when Sony gave us God of War to prepare us for Ragnarok, we expect them to give us AC: Black Flag to set us up for skull bones.
  • Match Point – Tennis Championship: We are always given at least one garbage game that no one wants to just fill the space.

Essential PS Plus Games August 2022 | Confirmed

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (PS4, PS5)

Not only is it a great nostalgic hit, but it’s also one of the best remakes in recent memory, and one of the very few skateboarding games in a long time. For everyone who loved these games or loves fun sports games, this is a must play. This is a fantastic pack with all the content from the first two Pro Skater games plus improved quality and new music. This should be checked, no questions.

Unfortunately, the developers of Vicarious Visions were hired to create Diablo Immortal, and other remakes of classic games have been put on hold. However, getting these early games for free is a good consolation.

Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon (PS4, PS5)

Another slam dunk for the PS Plus lineup next month. The Yakuza series is fantastic, and Yakuza 7 is no exception. If you like silly comedies and serious, brilliant storytelling, you should play this game because Yakuza does both very well. The latest Yakuza title game also introduced a fantastic JRPG system and is under development. Even if you’ve never played a Yakuza game before, don’t be put off by the sheer number: Like a dragon it’s reloaded with a whole host of new characters and locations, so you can even start with this one.

Little Nightmares (PS4)

The most specialized game in this range is still a certified banger. Every horror game fan should watch Little Nightmaresif they haven’t already. This is a very smart and scary little game with amazing visual style, very smart puzzles and amazing atmosphere.
