“The path to the launch of PlayStation VR2 is well under way and we can’t wait for you to experience the exciting new games and experiences you can explore with our next generation virtual reality headset. As we continue our launch efforts, today we’d like to offer a quick look at some of the user experience features you’ll find on PS VR2. With PS VR2, you can see your surroundings by wearing a headset with our new transparent image feature. This is handy when you want to easily check where the PS VR2 Sense controllers are in your room without removing your headset. With PS VR2’s builtin front cameras, users can press the function button on the headset or use the map in the Control Center to switch between viewing the environment and viewing content on PS VR2. The map in the Control Center also provides quick access to other PS VR2 settings, such as the game zone setting.”

“The PS VR2 play area can be customized using PS VR2 Sense controllers and builtin cameras. Cameras let you scan the room, while PS VR2 Sense controllers let you expand and further customize your play area to suit your playstyle and room environment. If you get close to the boundary you set during the game, you will receive a warning that you are close to the boundary of the play area. You can change your settings any time your PS VR2 is connected. Once you set up your play area, your settings will be saved unless you move to another play area.”

“In cinematic mode, players can view the PS5 system and user interface, as well as all games and nonVR media content, on a virtual cinema screen. Content in cinematic mode will be displayed in 1920×1080 HDR video format at 24/60Hz frame rate and 120Hz frame rate.”
