After work at the beginning of the year on orientation, and movement on a grid, the CE1-CE2 of Sainte-Anne school discovered the Thymio robot and became familiar with it.
In small groups, they studied the robot’s behavior and explored its various pre-recorded programs. Each color corresponded to a program. “We discovered that the robot does several actions: it can follow our hand or run away from it! He can avoid obstacles ”. “He has sensors to perceive what surrounds him”.
Then the CE2s went deeper into the work by programming the robot through software, then doing it alone.
